Halloween

I always love halloween as there are some great crafts you can make. I started with the pumpkin lantern. For this you need a glass jar which you cover in orange crate paper. Then you cut and stick on the scary pumpkin face. Lastly you have a candle inside which you can light on Halloween night, it makes a great night light. We also made a crate paper pumpkin to hang up in the window. We
finished off with a witches had and a Bat made from a toilet roll.

Doll House

I ve wanted to do this project for ages having the kids make their very own Doll House. It took a while to find a good size box but once that was done the rest was pretty straight forward. I got a bunch  of Home magazines filled with picture of room design. The children just had to pick out the ones they liked best and stick it into their house. We painted the roof and sides and painted the front flap green to make a garden.  A great extension activity to this would be making the furniture and people.

Farm Animals

Its always fun to do anything animal themed as all kids love animals. Here we made our own stand up farm house and farm animals. We got a nice solid base and painted it green and then cut out and stuck down the animals onto folded card so that they could stand up. For the older children I had them write the names of the animal inside each animal card. This is a great art project because the children can then role play with their very own Farm yard.
